Steal Fish Eggs Controls

WASD or thumbstick, E or tap, then a 180. The HUD numbers that actually matter.

Controls

Steal Fish Eggs supports PC, mobile, and console. The storefront says so. There is no published full keybind table. This page is the practical map: how you move, how you pick up an egg, how you open the Trail Shop, and why a cold camera dumps more eggs than a missing Trail. Use it with Getting Started on day one and with how to escape bosses when the jellyfish is already moving.

Movement

You swim. Official art shows flippers, not a treadmill. That is the difference from Steal an Egg.

  • PC: WASD. Mouse for camera. Jump if a pool lip needs a hop. Sprint is whatever Roblox bound for you; the game’s Speed stat is the endless-pool number, not a hidden shift-key.
  • Mobile / tablet: thumbstick. Camera drag. The 180 at a nest is the skill check. Practice it on a cheap egg before you grab a tagged Jellyfish Egg.
  • Console: left stick move, right stick camera, interact on the face button Roblox uses for E. Same loop.

Servers hold six players. You cannot open a VIP server. Hop shards from the Roblox server list if the lobby is a brawl. Steal from players covers when that hop is for raids versus for quiet nests.

Interact

E on PC / tap on mobile / console confirm on eggs, hatch slots, pool, and shop prompts. Interact once. Do not mash. The carry is usually one egg. Mashing does not pocket a second clutch; it delays the turn.

Pickup is the start of a chase. The next input is camera 180, not a second interact. Details in how to steal eggs.

HUD numbers to read

  • Cash. Can you afford Grey ($1,000) or Blue ($10,000)? Shop math: Trail Shop.
  • Swim Speed. The stat you train in the endless pool.
  • Egg tag. Income on the clutch before you steal. Example from official art: $89,121Sp/s on a Jellyfish Egg.
  • Hatch timer. After you place. Stay online if you can. How to hatch.

If the HUD also shows a lock, a forcefield, or a codes box, use it. Those prompts are not in the storefront text yet. When they appear, codes and how to protect your base take them.

Camera is half the steal

Speed without a 180 still feeds the shark. After a long pool AFK, do one nearby steal to warm the camera. Mobile players should not start a far shark run as the first input of a session.

Console FOV and mobile thumbs both make the jellyfish look closer than it is. Trust the timer of the chase, not the screenshot. If you keep dying at the same rock, train; do not blame the stick until Blue Trail is on.

Shop and pool inputs

The Trail Shop and the endless pool sit in the safe zone. Walk, interact, buy or swim. Equip the Trail before you leave. Buying Gold and swimming out on Grey is a real mistake. Pool laps happen while a hatch ticks so you are not wasting the timer.

There is no published “hold space to turbo.” If a patch adds a dash, it goes on updates. Until then, the only turbo is Trails × pool rank.

Accessibility and devices

Play on the device you can 180 on. A slow PC with a mouse beats a huge phone you cannot turn. Cross-play is the same 6-player shard. Keyboard users still get stolen from.

If Roblox itself remaps E, use that remap. This wiki will not fight the client. The game loop does not change: interact, turn, swim, place, train.

After 13 September

A new biome does not change WASD. It changes how far you swim after the interact. Recheck biomes and how to get Speed the same afternoon. Controls stay this page.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Steal Fish Eggs questions.

What is the pickup button in Steal Fish Eggs?

E on PC, tap on mobile, the Roblox interact button on console. One press, then turn.

Is there a run key?

Swim Speed comes from the endless pool and Trails, not a hidden sprint toggle.

Does mobile play the same loop?

Yes. Camera 180s are harder. Warm up on a nearby egg before tagged steals.

Where is the shop key?

Walk to the Trail Shop in the safe zone and interact. There is no separate hotkey published.
