Steal Fish Eggs Tier Lists
Trails by Speed per cash, fish by income — ranked for progression, not for flex screenshots.
Two ladders matter in Steal Fish Eggs: Trails (swim Speed multipliers you buy) and fish (income you hatch). This hub points to both. It does not mix them into one S–F chart, because an 8x Universal Trail does not hatch, and a 0.01% rainbow shark does not make you faster.
Open trails tier list when you have cash in the pocket and a boss in the way. Open fish tier list when a hatch just landed and you need to know whether it stays. The fish index is the roster; the fish tier list is the ranking.
How we rank
Trails use published prices and multipliers from the in-game shop coverage (Grey 1.5x at $1,000 through Universal 8x at $1.5 trillion). S tier is “buy this next on a normal cash curve,” not “the biggest number.” Universal is strong and also irrelevant to a first-hour player. Details and the full table live on the trails page. Shop navigation is on Trail Shop.
Fish use in-game income tags when we have them, plus the official promise of sizes and mutations. We will not invent a 120-row bestiary. Confirmed examples from official art: a Jellyfish Egg tagged $89,121Sp/s, and a rainbow shark advertised at 0.01%. Those two facts already tell you the ceiling is high and the lottery is real. Until the index is datamined or shown in full, rank by the number over the fish, not by a copied Steal a Fish spreadsheet.
Progression versus flex
Progression rank asks: does this purchase or hatch make the next steal safer or richer? Flex rank asks: does it look like the thumbnail? Play progression until Gold Trail. Flex after that if you want. Getting Started is progression. Rainbow hunting on Grey Trail is flex, and it usually fails.
When the 13 September patch lands
More fish and a new biome will shuffle the fish list. Trails may stay as the seven-row shop or gain a new row. Recheck both child pages after 2:00 PM UTC on 13 September 2026 (September 13 update). If a rebirth feature ships, Trail value might change; we will not pre-rank a system that is still a rumor.
