Trails are the shop half of swim Speed. Each one is a visual and a permanent multiplier. Sportskeeda’s shop coverage lists seven rows. We rank them for a cash player who also trains in the endless pool. Robux prices are listed so you can see the skip; they are not a recommendation.

S here means “purchase this on the normal curve,” not “highest multiplier.” Universal is the strongest Trail and the worst first purchase. That is why it sits in C for progression.

S tier — Grey and Blue

Grey at $1,000 is the only Trail that a first Getting Started session should obsess over. 1.5x turns nearby jellyfish-adjacent nests from coin flips into banks. Blue at $10,000 is the second mandatory. 2x is when you stop hugging the safe zone. If you are still on 1.0x with cash in the pocket, you are playing the game wrong on purpose.

A tier — Purple and Gold

Purple (3x, $80,000 or 49 Robux) is the first Trail that feels like a build. Buy it when mid-water chases still drop you. Gold (4x, $1.75 million or 99 Robux) is the Trail you want before the 13 September biome. If you are going to spend Robux at all, Purple or Gold is the honest skip. Waiting for a 449 Robux Universal while you die on Grey is backwards.

B tier — Red and Dark Matter

Red (5x, $50 million / 179 Robux) and Dark Matter (6x, $5 billion / 319 Robux) are correct when the tank already prints those numbers. They are wrong as a panic buy after one failed shark chase. Farm fish first (fish tier list), then come back. The multiplier is real; the cash wall is also real.

C tier — Universal (for progression)

8x Speed at $1.5 trillion or 449 Robux is the shop ceiling. If you have the cash, buy it. If you do not, ignore every thumbnail that pretends you need it to play. Pair any late Trail with pool upgrades or you will still lose long chases — how to get Speed explains the stack.

How Trails interact with bosses

Trail write-ups note they help while escaping bosses. That matches the loop in how to steal eggs. A Trail does not stun the jellyfish. It shortens the time you are in the kill radius. If you buy Purple and still die, the nest is a ring too far — see biomes.

Robux note

Four Trails have a Robux option. That is a time skip. It is not required to finish the game, and this wiki will not rank “P2W” as a separate ladder. Cash players follow S → A. Robux players still need the pool.

After 13 September 2026, if a new Trail row appears, it will be inserted into this table rather than hyped as a rumor. Until then, seven rows is the whole shop.
