Steal Fish Eggs How to Protect Your Tank

The official Steal Fish Eggs description includes steal fish from other players. Servers hold six people. VIP servers are off. Your tank is not a single-player aquarium. If you hatch a high-income fish and then AFK the endless pool with no plan, you are volunteering a donation.

This page is defense. The offense version is steal from players. Read both; the same windows that you use to raid are the windows others use on you.

What can be stolen

Two different thefts exist:

• Eggs in the world — PvE nests plus any egg you are still carrying. Covered in how to steal eggs.
• Fish in tanks — PvP against other players’ bases. This page.

Until you see a lock, forcefield, or timer in your HUD, assume a fish is stealable when you are gone. Steal tycoons usually add a short lock after you press a button, or a shield that burns a cooldown. Steal Fish Eggs’ storefront text does not name the button. Look for a lock / shield prompt on the tank and treat it as mandatory after every good hatch.

If you cannot find a lock, the defense is presence: do not leave a rainbow shark unattended while you tour a far biome.

Safe-zone habits

The safe zone is safer than open water, not sacred. Players still walk up to tanks. Habits that actually help:

1. Bank the egg immediately. A carried egg is the easiest steal in the game.
2. Hatch, then lock or stand on the slot until the fish is placed. The place animation is a known snatch window in this genre.
3. Pool train in bursts. Swim laps, glance at the tank, repeat. Full AFK in the endless pool is how high-income fish vanish.
4. Do not flex at the doorway. Standing at the tank edge with a newly hatched mutation is a billboard.
5. Know the lobby. Six avatars. If two of them stopped swimming and started circling bases, you are in a raid shard — steal close nests only or hop.

Server hop is allowed. Private servers are not. Hopping is the closest thing this game has to a quiet farm.

After a good hatch

A Jellyfish Egg tagged at $89,121Sp/s or a 0.01% rainbow shark is raid bait. Sequence:

1. Place fish.
2. Hit lock/shield if it exists.
3. Spend spare cash on Speed (how to get Speed) so your next escape is cleaner.
4. Only then take a long swim.

If you must AFK, AFK after a lock, not after a flex screenshot. This wiki is not going to pretend “just be nice” is a defense.

When you are the defender in a chase

Sometimes you are returning with an egg and another player is hunting you, not your tank. That is an open-water problem. Trail Speed and a straight line home matter more than combat. Grey Trail is not enough if they have Purple. Do not turn around to slap them unless the game later adds a real PvP tool that is worth the detour. Current media is swim-and-carry, not a brawler.

What defense is not

• Scripts that auto-lock every tank on the server. That is the scripts topic and a ban risk.
• Paying 449 Robux for Universal Trail as a “shield.” 8x Speed helps you leave. It does not lock the tank.
• Trusting a Discord “anti-steal pass.” If it is not in the Roblox store for this universe, it is a scam.

Tie-ins

New players should still do Getting Started first; you cannot defend an empty tank. Hatch logic is in how to hatch. If you are tired of being farmed, you may be on a busy shard — hop, then keep playing. The 13 September update may add features that change locks. When it does, this page will name the button. Until then, presence plus any in-game shield you can find is the whole kit.

If your fish still disappear, you are leaving them visible for too long. Shorten pool sessions. Bank faster. Steal closer nests so you are home more often. Defense is a schedule, not a skin.
